I miss my family and friends. Homesickness hitting hard.
P.S. Thanks for the reassurances, guys. It means a lot. :)
I'm probably 70% packed, but I feel more like I'm 10% packed. I don't know. And this is just the home-side. On the college side, I'll still have to deal with books, classes, scholarships, and other things that will boggle my brain if I think about everything all at once.
Adjusting to coed bathrooms. Hahaha.
Oh, I will miss my friends.
I've been having crazy mood swings, odd dreams, nightmares, and sentimental-y moments these past weeks. I guess I'm not exactly handling things well.
Sorry I haven't been particularly active on LJ, recently. It's probably for the aforementioned reason(s).

stressed
- Mood:
discontent
Desire:
- Ms. Fields chocolate chip cookies
- Ms. Fields chocolate fudge brownies
- Doughnuts
Have:
- apples
- bananas
- dried cranberries
Now, I must admit, I usually favor fruit, but, right now, I want unhealthy, warm, gooey, delicious baked goods. I'm suffering.

I PROCRASTINATEEEE.
I have orientation this week. I still have a blank academic plan form staring me in the face. I need to focus, but distractions are so lovely. I've been throwing myself into writing of late, and entertaining myself with old shows. And that's only when I'm not hanging out with friends all day, and, occasionally, a short part of the night.
I've always thought summer is meant to be summer. Summer days may be long, but not quite long enough.
Ah, well. I've still got two days to procrastinate. Then, that form is going to kick me in the behind.
Funny. My valedictorian speech was about procrastination, too.
What do you think about:
The Busboy: In which Naruto is a busboy, and Hinata is a waitress. Not-so-scandalous antics ensue.
Excerpt:
Her head bobbed of its own volition. “I see you here, too.” She caught herself before she could make another redundant comment and excused herself to put in the order. As she clipped up the scrap of pastel green paper on the revolving wheel, Ino snuck up from behind her.
“You like him?”
----------------------------------------
Halcyon: With wings sharp like swords, but she nests on the wind, and the waters calm beneath.
Excerpt:
With surprising dexterity, she bent down and scooped up what appeared to be his grimy navy blue coat in one hand, and, miraculously intact, a soaked sack of gold and silver pieces--the remainder of his fortune for the journey--in the other hand.
"What's your name, stranger?” she asked him smilingly.

Obviously, both are AU, and as such, makes me an amateur. The latter happens to be a pirate-like universe, but not so much since neither of main two will be involved. I thought the ideas were cute, so I really do want to expand on them, but any input? They're still in the very beginning stages (I have short first chapters written for them both), but I just wanted to know if they were worth toying with. Thank you~

I just want this year to be over I guess. I'll probably regret that once I get to graduation day, but, right now, life is making me a just a little ill, in a sense. On the upside, it appears that I am, in fact, allowed to bring a rice cooker with me to college. And most of my closest friends are going be within an hour's drive away once we head off to college, except, of course, my best friend. I should just focus on the positives.
I want this summer to be unforgettable.

I know I say this quite often, but, really, school is driving me into the ground.
Yearbook crunch time is now and I feel pretty useless as an editor.
I still impatiently waiting for my copy of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time to arrive.
I am pretty furious right now. I was listlessly typing away on my computer when, surprisingly, the arrow on my screen clicked out of my browser, roved over to my iTunes, and--without fingers!--began typing a series of odd codes into one of the side columns. Then, much to my befuddlement, I began to access the iTunes store, without my own consent! How strange, I thought, and promptly closed the window.
Hey, if you're still trying to hack my computer, stop it. Don't you have anything better to do?
Other than that, really, I'm doing good. My trip up north was lovely, and I'm looking forward to moving up there someday soon. :)

It's so absurd. I'm not even going to bother trying to keep up. So, I'll probably be posting drabbles on my ff.net daily until I run out of them, or at least until . . . Friday? So, if anyone--which I doubt--is interested, please check my ff.net, since I most likely will not be posting links to updates on my lj.
. . . I'm such a nerd.
Omg, I might even be crazy enough to take drabble requests. Omg.

So, that's basically my update. I'm eager to make this last summer a blast. And life is too short, already a third into the year, and January felt like it happened only yesterday.
If you're a fan of the movie The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, I just posted an old scrap drabble of it on my ff.net.
If you're a fan of TV series Toradora, here's my two cents: It was a sweet and unexpected series. And though I knew Ryuuji would end up with Taiga, I still rooted for Kushieda and Ami. I enjoyed the Ryuuji/Taiga dynamic up until it got serious.
I'm still missing on everyone. Spring break soon, expect either scareness (again) or frenzied commentary.
